easy banana cake

I know I have more than one banana  recipes, either it’s cake or bread,  but so far this one is the best. The cake is still moist even after couple of days and it’s also very easy peasy to make.

Ingredients:

1 cup self-raising flour

1 cup caster sugar

50 gr butter, melted

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 tspn vanilla essence

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup mashed banana

Method:

Preheat oven to 180c or 160c fan forced. Spray a loaf pan with oil. Line base and sides with baking paper, extending 3 cm above rim.

Sift flour into a large bowl. Stir in sugar. Make a well in the center. Add butter, egg, vanilla, milk and banana. Stir until just combined.

Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a skewer inserted into center comes out clean. Set aside f0r 10 minutes to cool slightly. Serve warm or transfer to wire rack to cool completely.

Happy baking!

        1. Aku sudah dua kali bikin pakai resep ini. Yang pertama pakai tepung biasa karena gak punya self raising flour. Jadinya gak naik. Terus hari ini bikin lagi pakai ingredients yang bener dan hasilnya enak. Saking enaknya gak difoto. Tapi aku kurang puas karena kurang tinggi. Besok2 aku mau bikin dua resep untuk satu loaf biar puas.

Thanks a million for the recipe Ria. Xx

          1. Good on you for trying Tje! Glad you like it!😘

  4. This looks amazing and definitely moist just like you said! One question though, is self raising flour the same as all purpose flour?

    1. Hi Dana, I think all purpose flour is the same as plain flour here in Australia. This recipe used both plain & self raising.
