Twenty-21 has felt like one of the longest years ever for me. Covid is still around with more variants and even though Western Australia has a good run with very few Covid cases and no restrictions at all, I still feel like living in a bubble. While most of the world is opening up, we are still stuck nowhere to go except just around Western Australia. And just a few days before Christmas, we got a few Omnicron cases, so mask on until the 4th of January so far. Well, I’m not complaining, except it’s hard to breathe in when the temperature reaches 42 degrees!
Anyway… Happy New Year everyone! Wishing you all an amazing new year, good health and an abundance of love and happiness. For the first time ever ( I think ) I slept thru 2021 and woke up at 7.30 am in the new year! DH and I didn’t do much for the NYE. Both my boys were partying like a rockstar on Rotto, so it was only us two. I was cleaning up the house, putting down the Christmas tree, changing bed sheets the whole afternoon. Went out to grab dinner and went back home before even 10 pm. How boring! I was watching the last episode of Emily in Paris on Netflix and fell asleep.
Twenty-21 was not a bad year for me personally. We had our highs and lows, but also things were getting better in the middle of 2021. The best thing that happened to me this year, was the graduation of my boys from high school. And second, I finally got a job, not only one but two! So I truly felt so blessed and grateful for that 🙏🏻 In overall I’m grateful for; being healthy, being brave to let go of an old chapter of friendship, healing from the things I don’t talk about, the friends I keep, living in present, and having enough, being enough 💙 💙 As for 2022, I’m most looking forward to being able to see my mama and my dearest and nearest in my home country. I hope twenty-22 will see the end of this pandemic? And also I’m wishing my family and friends are safe, healthy and happy. May 2022 will be a smoother ride for all of us!
What about you, what are you most looking forward to in 2022?
